Design, Build, Fly, Repair, Repeat.
3AUTONOMY's Aerospace Academy is a 5 day in-person course delivering 40 hours of instruction in the fundamentals of NDAA-compliant small unmanned aircraft systems. Participants develop essential skills in CAD, fabrication, assembly, configuration, and operation with 3A's proprietary sUAS platform.
Participants learn 3D modeling fundamentals for component and assembly design, mastering essential operations in computer aided drafting (CAD) to support modular sUAS development.
Participants learn the fundamentals of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), including setup, operation, and maintenance of high-speed 3D printers with composite filaments for rapid prototyping.
Participants study the fundamentals of modern small unmanned aircraft system (sUAS) technologies at the component level, from hardware to software, and become familiar with the essentials of autonomous flight.
Participants fabricate, assemble, integrate, and configure a complete sUAS platform, addressing common assembly challenges, troubleshooting, and resolutions in a hands-on environment.
Participants cover safe sUAS operations, first-flight protocols, platform tuning, mission planning, autonomous modes, and post-flight log analysis, with an emphasis on FAA-compliant practices.
This course is not designed to prepare participants for FAA Part 107 certification or any other FAA credentials. It is currently offered exclusively to state and federal agencies in the United States of America, including universities, colleges, law enforcement, and defense entities.
